[When we're looking for blogs on a specific topic, we'll put out a Bloggers Wanted call. Check out the blog prompt, write your own response in the Community Blogs and tag it with the "Bloggers Wanted Essay Response" tag, and you may see your blog promoted to the front page. -- JRo]
We had another great week of responses -- thanks again to everyone for participating. While you work on this week's topic, I'll be promoting a Digital Distribution blog from last week every day until this Friday.
This week's topic is about the Summer of Arcade promotion that's beginning this week. I've always been impressed with the quality of some of the downloadable, cheaper games that are available on XBLA and PSN. Your topic for this week is to tell me about your favorite game from these services, and why you love it so much. In order to qualify, the game must be a downloadable title ONLY - it can't have been released on disc/cart. I'm also excluding PC/Steam types of download games from this topic -- it needs to be a game that was released as a downloadable title on a console or a handheld.
Well-written and insightful blogs have a chance of being promoted to the front page. If you want to participate, just write a C Blog, title it "Downloadables: [Your Blog's Title]", and select the Bloggers Wanted Essay Response tag. Throughout the week, keep an eye on the blogs and get some discussions going with your fellow Dtoiders.
