BlizzCon tickets to go on sale in late May photo

A little company called Blizzard Entertainment will be having another of its annual fan conventions this coming October 21st and 22nd in Anaheim, California. I hear they are popular events for which one would want to purchase their tickets early as they tend to sell out quickly. To that end, Blizzard has announced that tickets will be going on sale next month on two separate days.

The first round of tickets will be made available on Saturday, May 21st at 10 am Pacific. If you need a second try, the second bundle will be sold on Wednesday, May 25th at 7pm Pacific. Tickets will be $175 for all attendees.

Folks unable to attend the actual show but want to be a part of the event from home can purchase a virtual pass for $39.95 which gives access to HD streaming video of interviews, demos and coverage of the show floor.

and, once again, they've raised the price of admission. as Robin might say; holy-seizing-the-opportunity-to-take-advantage-of-your-fanbase-yet-again Batman!

are they going to announce Diablo 3 will now be sold in fifths, so they can give us this grand, sweeping story? (y'know, the same lie they used to sell Starcraft 2 in thirds? lol...)

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
