Blizzcon 2008 announced: now with more grinding! photo

If you're a Blizzard fan of any kind, you may have either attended last year's Blizzcon or lived vicariously through our coverage of the event. Blizzard has just announced the dates and details for Blizzcon 2008, which will likely provide an exciting two-day vacation for World of Warcraft players who otherwise never leave the house.

The event will take place on October 10th and 11th and will be held in Anaheim, California, at the Anaheim Convention Center. Activities planned include a silent auction, discussion panels with Blizz developers, costume contests, tournaments, and possibly the most exciting of all: hands on time with upcoming Blizzard releases. Starcraft 2, anyone?

Tickets will be $100 for both days and you can reserve them in advance at Blizzard's Web site. You might want to snag those early -- it'd be a mite humiliating to have to wrestle a Night Elf at the door for a pair, especially if your costume isn't as fancy as his. Check the jump for the full press release.

Jesus, $100? WoW fans just can't get enough of giving their money to Blizzard, eh?

I'm actually here near Anaheim, but I won't be attending. If Destructoid is there in any force, I'll be sure to hang out with you guys after hours. Just please, no WoW.

Wait...What? It's possible to give Blizzard even more senseless money in order to praise their newest rendition of crack cocaine? I mean, short of donating your all of your income and blood directly to them.
