After playing D2lod (best game of all time.. so far) off and on for a decade, I nearly shat myself when a friend of mine gave me his friend code or whatever the hell it's called. I haven't even touched D3 since i tried it out for those amazing 20 minutes or so 3 weeks ago.
I wouldn't say D3 "fucking sucks" but it was kind of disappointing. The loot lust that game had with the older games was barely there and I just stopped playing
For what D3 had to offer after many years of development and the fact the 2008 blizzcon build LOOKED BETTER than the final 2012 build we got, yeah Diablo 3 fucking sucks, backing Holly on this!

It actually wasn't out of the way to bash D3. It is, in fact, a Blizzard article. That clearly has a point to make that you can test out the piece of crap which is Diablo 3 at said shitty event. I would say it didn't take any extra effort whatsoever.
I smell pissy fanboys still grasping at the hope that their precious Blizzard will break from the nipple that is Activision. Trumpeting that they can do no wrong. Any nay say against them is heresy and must be destroyed. Just face it, the game is bad, it is beyond all repair at this point.

How is that made up? I'm 28 years old, I've been playing D2 since I was 18, and I dislike D3. If your only response to that is "You're lying" I suggest you take a writing or debate class, maybe both, whatever it'll take to get you to use your big boy words.
I couldn't care less about the content of the post. Opinions, especially on this site are vomited out all over the place by staff and commenters. I was just perusing my RSS feeds and was reading a by the numbers informative thing about Blizzard at Gamescom. Then Holly got in her dig at Diablo which seemed out of place because the tone of the writing completely changed. It's like the dude who gets dumped by his girlfriend and then any time girlfriends come up as a topic of conversation, the dude has say how much his girlfriend sucks and goes on a tangent. It was merely amusing to me. She explained her point as to why she was pissed by the game and that's fine. I don't care what games people like or don't.

I move on like an adult. You say 28, 12 would be a better reflection, at least as far as writing integrity goes.
I don't think Diablo 3 is a perfect game by any stretch, but my brain has the ability to distinguish multiple grades of quality between "best evar" and "fucking sucks". I really resent how the puerile side of the online gaming community compulsively exaggerates everything into unreasonable extremes. Sure, it's not the only subculture where that sort of thing takes place, but I resent it pretty much wherever it pops up.
If D3 was a different IP then I think a lot of the hate wouldn't be happening. Mostly because everyone would be saying 'still not better than D2' and going back to playing that.
@Holly Green : I care not for how many years you played Diablo 2, I played it too we all did who didnt? Looking past the terribad decisions Blizzard made for the game ( No singleplayer , Shit optimization , bad post-patch decisions) It's still a fun game so keep your bias out of the article .
