I agree with you I cant help but wonder, will this game be like that safari arcade game where you have to snare the animals or more like Pokemon Snap??
I dont think people with a PS3 will be lining up for a HD safari photo taking adventure. Doesnt seem like their target audience.
that arcade game is fucking great, i hope their are some saber tooth tigers to catch in this too lol
Did you just diss Toto? Oh, it's on now sir.
That's all I can imagine, a high definition Pokemon Snap. I can't exactly dismiss the game cause I don't know anything about it.
This reminded me of how much I want a new pokemon snap game. Africk sounds cool, but I kind of enjoy photographing pokemon more then real animals.
musically and harmonically, that song is actually quite good and varied. The issue is, I think, an unfortunate use of terribly synthesized instrumentation.
Antlerbot, harmonically it's very strong. Melodically, not so much. The rhythmic patterns in the melody are good, but the melodic repetition makes it somewhat unexciting. It doesn't parallel the determination pointed at in the horrible lyrics. And I agree, the synths suck.
You mean we still have no idea what this game is about? Jesus, it's been two years since it was unveiled! Are they planning on selling it on graphics alone? Oh, they probably are....
i have only heard of it with no gameplay videos or pictures. if someone could link some that be cool.
If this game is successful, Nintendo might make a new Pokemon Snap!
Unless there are mudkipz in this game I don't care
Hahaha, as soon as I scrolled to this post and saw the YouTube video, I knew that it was going to be of Toto’s “Africa”.
I don't care what anyone says.. fuck, I love Toto.
Only one thing could make this day better
CRANKIN' UP THE TOTO
I thought this was going to be about Toto songs coming to Rock Band or something and now am infinitely disappointed.
IMO its in the top ten best love songs, right next to "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Higher Love". But the song by itself sounds awkward.
Any band with janet reno/stephen king on percussion is ok in my book.
Anyway, I've always wanted to pelt gazelles and tigers with pester balls, so this might finally be my chance.
Toto + video games = greatest site ever
or Vice City
Wait...who's Dissing Toto!!!???
:o i love africa!!! don't know any of toto's other songs, so that's all i can say...
That's actually a well-crafted and inspired song.
Why not trash bland dreck like Britney Spears instead of trashing good songwriting?
Great vocals on this track... the harmonies on the chorus are classic. The modulations in this song are also very nice. Nice to hear hear a pop hit with some harmonic movement instead of a static drone once in awhile.
You forgot to add the video is fucking stupid too, from the repeated showing of Africa on the globe for those who don't know where it is to the guy on keyboard who looks and acts like he has fetal alcohol syndrome.
Wow, Toto is apparently an extremely polarizing band.
YOU DO NOT FUCK WITH TOTO.
WOW that video is like a blueprint on how to dress in Mile End Montreal RIGHT NOW. Seriously I feel like I saw all of those guys today on my way to buy groceries.
Hopefully Afrika IS like Pokemon Snap.
But this time: more safari, less track.
I'm pretty curious about this game :-)
I'd love to go trekking through africa in high def without musquitos and everything :-)
Toto FTMFW
Fuck you. Arica is an awesome song.
Um, Africa by Toto is awesome. Who do you think you are, some kind of musician for a semi popular video game cover band?
