Blacksite: Area 51 gets delayed, alien murder has to wait photo

Originally announced for release in the summer, Midway's rather excellent looking shooter, Blacksite: Area 51 is now being delayed. The game is now due to be available in North America on November 5th, while my limey brethren and I enjoy a slightly earlier October 26th release.

Despite the delay, I still have high hopes for this game. Midway can be very hit and miss, but the company is still capable of churning out a decent title now and then. If the demo was anything to go by, Area 51 may very well be on the hit side of Midway's resume'.

The aliens have been slaves to the white man for 60 years, and killing them is what the recieve? I'd prefer it if more aliens were white.

Where do you get the demo for it?

Racism! RACISM! How dare we let the white man kill innocent Alien superfreaks?!

In all seriousness, though, this is somewhat saddening. I actually loved the demo on XBL, and am dying to get my hands on this.

Midway that delayed the game that they thought would piggyback-ride on the success of Halo 3?

I agree that this game really didn't stand out to me. Nothing wrong with it, but ... meh.

I was going to pick it up, I dunno, I may have to wait for some reviews and maybe the bargain bin. Not a terrible loss, but it and GTA IV delayed and both multi-platform and TT says they're having development issue due to two very different platforms...hmmmmmmm. Possible cause the PS3?

amirite?

I love shooters far more than any other genre but the demo for this left me pretty unimpressed. I felt like I had played it a hundred times already.

@SniperFodder, if it were the fault of the ps3 they would just delay that version. That is what everyone else is doing. Also, if it is the fault of the 360, they wont say it considering the 50 million dollars lining their pockets.
