Very beautiful. Too bad EA has DRM on it, so I won't be buying for PC (it's a shame this happens on PC so much).
thre was a similar mod for gta 4 that ign reported on a few days ago. made liberty city look almost real
@CaptainHowdy - Oh, please. Cry me a fucking river. It's not like it requires a connection, like the Ubisoft games. The only DRM it has is the "number of authorized computers" version, and honestly, how many people are going to have more than 1 machine capable of running this? Maybe 2 or 3 on the outside, if you count the "playing/demo'ing at a friend's house" excuse? Even then, it automatically deactivates any computer when the game is uninstalled, so the chances of you having any trouble with this is nill. I wouldn't even call it DRM.

How do you know he was talking about the activation limit? It also sucks because you need the Internet to activate the game -- You're asking for further permission from EA to play what you just paid full price for. Does that sound like a fun time?

You do need an internet connection to activate it. EA and Ubisoft are no different when it comes to DRM. Now Blizzard is doing the same thing

The new textures and shadows look great, but I think that the contrast is actually too high from looking at the screenshots. To each their own I suppose. It does make me a little bit more intrigued to actually play the game though.
Hmmm, sort of a mixed bag. The new shadows look absolutely fantastic, as do a lot of the new textures, but a few of them actually look worse/have the art style changed completely.
I'm a bit conflicted on the colour palette change and the lighting style as well. If it's optional, fair enough, if not... Eh.

It's not the graphics what made the visuals so good in the first game, it was how fitting they were. The game emphasized freedom, so the visuals emphatized photo realism and a plain look. On the other hand, Crysis 2 embraces absurdity, glow and motion blur in order to make it look cheaply spectacular
Also the contrast in parts is almost painfully high, but that's a taste thing. Still an impressive job. Seems they're still ironing out the kinks though.
OH, and seeing the comparisons, beyond the shadows, it doesn't look better, it looks grittier. It has a less industrial look and a more urban war look. Not that impressive.
@Netnavi Because devs have to make it able to run on everything. A modder can make it for just one group of people with top end machines. Not like that is going to hurt a modders bottom line, since they don't even have one.

Well, my impression on the mod are that they make everything look too bright. Not glowy, but bright. Everything looks TOO white. Remember how Terminator Salvation looked too sand colored? well this mod makes Crysis 2 too white colored.

If they get that up and running, then hot damn this will be sweet.
The GTA 4 ICE-enhancer w/ENB is equally impressive, simply because it looks real on many occasions.
Shame one of the later builds of ENB killed graphics cards, that put me off using it quite badly.
