Black & White 2 Macintosh port to be released January 6 photo

Feral Interactive’s Macintosh port of Black & White 2 is finally finished and will be debuting at MacWorld Expo this January 6. Those attending the San Francisco event will be able to party like its 2005 and get their hands on the title for the first time. Onlookers (or players) will also be able to buy the title at the event as well.

Black & White 2 is the follow-up to the pseudo-successful God game created by Lionhead Studios. Way back in 2005, it was described as “totally awesome” by my niece. She is now unaware the she ever played the game, although she does recall messing around in “some sort of weird wolf game.”

The Macintosh port will include the Battle of the Gods expansion pack and can be pre-ordered right now on Feral Interactive’s official website for $49.95. Above are some screens for the port. I'm actually impressed by its visuals. We’ll have to see what the requirements are when they are released.

March '09 - Kings Quest 2 comes to Macs!

Sometimes I wish the PC guys would just scream at Justin Long about games.

@ArrestedDeveloper - You know, if Sierra's Classics did come to the Mac I would buy it in a second.

Yeah, let's see that fucktard on the Mac commercials claim that PC's are only good for spreadsheets. PC's only get games years before Macs do...

generally new hardware is anti-mac so if you plan on upgrading your vid card you would probably have to wait a while longer.

I hate the whole Mac vs PC thing. Its just like the "console wars". Macs can run Windows, and you can play basically the same games on every console. Does it really matter anymore? I still don't understand why people care about what box they put a game in.

Yeah, I'm able to play Bioshock and Farcry 2 on my new uni-body macbook thanks to the Nvidia 9400m, on XP of course... but yeah; the argument is just stupid at this point.

I find it hilarious that a lot of arguments for the superiority of Macs is their ability to do the things a PC does.

Steam runs great on my iMac. I can play TF2 without booting to windows with crossover. I just hope Gabe Newell gets over his mac hate.

I think the (serious) game playing Mac crowd has already accepted that they're going to either need Boot Camp or a PC. And as someone who's using Boot Camp, I'd probably prefer to just score a copy of the PC version (which you can buy for $4.50 on the internet) than a slightly expanded Mac version.

Although Black & White sure was a sweet game when it came out.

Lol I should still have this around somewhere....

Maybe I shall install it in the near future...you know solidarity with mac owners...why should they suffer alone...:P

Nah it was actually a good game...not as good as I hoped but still good!

Oew: Too true. I'm not paying full price for 2 or 3 year old games. Mac haters just hate because they still believe decades old misinformation like the one button mouse. Mac ignorance really is the only source of Mac hate.

In any case, who cares what computer (or console) other people use. If you like fussing with Windows, so be it. It doesn't hurt me any. While you are dicking with driver installs, I'll just enjoy using my hassle free computer.
