Interested in dishing out more money for a sad excuse for a map pack, DONT WORRY ACTIVISIONS got you covered, we even overcharged for it this time, so if you thought about buying any actual games with your money tough shit, COD will consume it all
They should just bring out a console called the CoDbox or the Dutystation which charges a subscription and only plays CoD.

You know what I'd really enjoy? A compilation of all the zombie maps when they are finished. I don't want to drop all this money for the MP maps when all I care about is zombies.

@ardent that is just how the uk and australia write dates, and as far as everyone else is concerned, cod has become pretty meh imo, with shorter and stupider campaigns, as well as slightly changed mp each time, why bother paying for it at full retail when you are getting slightly different versions of the same game. Oh well, I guess I can just keep waiting for a good sale on it and everyone else can buy it at launch.

You'd think just once they'd say;" hey guys, thanks for the support, this map pack is free"! I stopped giving them money years ago, and slowly, more and more people are realizing just how stagnant the series has become.

It's people like rogue that make the notion that you can actually speak with your wallet a joke. For every person silently speaking with their wallet, there's ten people like rogue willing to buy Call of Duty Non Fat Dairy Creamer, then act like being an irresponsible consumer makes them more of a "real" gamer than the rest of us.
Also, I think most everyone accepts Acivision as a business. They're also a business that can't seem to make money outside of a few established franchises despite having more consumer support than maybe any entertainment company on this planet. They're not releasing 3 $15 map packs per CoD because they just can, they're doing it because their bad business practices are forcing them to maximize profits on the only segments still making any. Warning flags should be raised when you see that there's 5 studios working on one franchise at the same time...

I don't understand the hate. I really don't. I think the game is STILL fun these days. I don't play it all the time, as someone mentioned, there are other games to play. I just get my FPS fix with BlackCops. Bring on more maps. And is 1200 points alot? Nah not really. I don't mind. Its not like I'm a bum on the street begging for change. I pay more than that for lunch usually. I at least get hours and hours out of those 1200 points.
What I don't want are more zombie maps. I really don't care for the zombies in CoD. I preferred the stylings of Left for Dead. I think the zombies maps should be charged separately.

Still playing MW2 multiplayer with most people on my friends list. The stupid sheep bought into CRAP-OPS. TRY-HARD's newest game is still second rate to a two year old IW game. Hurry up RESPAWN released some details!!!!
I'm getting it. The quality and replay value of the 4 person co-op zombie map is worth the price every time. Ascension was the best zombie level yet.

Its the fact that for the same price, BC2 Vietnam not only provided a compeletely new setting, new maps, new weapons, but an entire new soundtrack. Which I can play ingame.
Invisible hand of the free market SHOULD dictate that the Bad Company series be better profitable since it provides more for one's buck.
Then again, that would rely on people being smart with products in general, which is rarely the case.
And I'm not insulting you or console gamers, purists have proven it time from time (herp a derp, Dragon Age 2 gameplay is COMPLETELY different from DA:O even though nothing major is changed mechanically), to fanboys (BETHSEDA IS INFALLIBLE RPG GODS, HERETICS SHALL BE BURNED!!!), and *sigh*, to fellow PC gamers acting like douchebags (So I can nuke console peasants from orbit? Sweet.)
It's like as though the vast majority of people just don't bother doing the research, or want to remain acting like complete idiots/aholes.

great now there is going to be an even longer wait for mod tools. II guess they're really living up to that 'sometime after release' statement,. if mod tools were out no one in the PC community would buy this shit.
@Enzi duke probaly won't sell nearly as many copies as this dlc. If you meant that comment in terms of quality, that remains to be seen. Duke Nukem looks like a generic shooter taking advantage of ppls nostalgia.
@Rogue257 its not that the price is high. Its about what you are gettin for that price. 1200 is ridiculous for 5 maps consider it used to be 800 maps for 4 maps. Gears 2 had a shitload of maps and some campaign missions for the same price. Being poor is different from feeling like your wasting money.
Its ok you don't have to buy it. No one is forcing you. I play Black Ops and will make sure to get my 1200 worth out of it. I also play other games but what do you care anyways?
Black Ops: Escalation is awesome so far! A few minutes ago I came across a blog that's giving out the Escalation DLC for free! I thought it was a scam until I saw the DLC code laying in my e-mail inbox. :D
