Australian retailer GAME has revealed details on new DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops, named the Escalation Pack, by means of a promotional image on the store's website that has since been removed.
The image mentions a zoo, a hotel, a convoy, and a stockpile, as well as a 'Call of the Dead' to survive. So it looks like the new map pack will feature four maps and a new zombie map. Unless there is a convoy of undead monkeys rampaging a zoo's hotel while leaving a stockpile of feces, in which case it will just be one map.

The new Escalation Pack DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops should first hit Xbox Live on May 3rd, 2011, followed by a later PSN and PC release.

Also, I think most everyone accepts Acivision as a business. They're also a business that can't seem to make money outside of a few established franchises despite having more consumer support than maybe any entertainment company on this planet. They're not releasing 3 $15 map packs per CoD because they just can, they're doing it because their bad business practices are forcing them to maximize profits on the only segments still making any. Warning flags should be raised when you see that there's 5 studios working on one franchise at the same time...

Its the fact that for the same price, BC2 Vietnam not only provided a compeletely new setting, new maps, new weapons, but an entire new soundtrack. Which I can play ingame.
Invisible hand of the free market SHOULD dictate that the Bad Company series be better profitable since it provides more for one's buck.
Then again, that would rely on people being smart with products in general, which is rarely the case.
