Bizarro world: Kane & Lynch, Crossfire exclusives now headed to the PS3 photo
     The almighty dollar

You know how all these "exclusives" were leaving the PlayStation 3 and heading for a multiplatform release across the Xbox 360 and PC? And, do you remember how we (by we, I mean you) declared the PS3 dead because of this? Well, it's time to maybe start changing that tune as SCi has just announced that their previously 360 and PC exclusives Kane & Lynch and Crossfire are now scheduled for a PS3 release. From Next-Gen:

SCi has altered release plans for two of its major titles by announcing that Kane & Lynch and Crossfire are set to be to be launched on multiple platforms pre-Christmas 2007 and early 2008.

The two titles in question were originally due for release on PC and Xbox 360 during Sci's 2007 financial year. However, according to statement, SCi says it has “taken the commercial decision to launch two new games from it's leading franchises, simultaneously on a multi-platform basis - including previously unannounced PlayStation 3 versions which are currently in advanced stages of development.

I can only hope you can hear my evil laugh all the way from Los Angeles.

ZZZZzzzzzz.... *snort* Wha? Huh?

Oh, some game that used to be on one console is now on two consoles? Ya don't say......

ZZZZZZZZZ.... (hibernating until Ninja Gaiden Sigma arrives to distract my PS3 from curing cancer)

It's been said before, but I'll say it here...the age of excllusives is nearly dead.

And just to counter your "evil laugh" (no I couldn't hear it), the only PS3 exclusive I would want this whole year is MGS4. 360? Halo 3, Mass Effect, maybe Too Human. I'd say Bioshock as well, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that jump to PS3 at some point.

Did I read the title wrong, or did anyone else think that Kane and Lynch was switching to a PS3 Exclusive title.
It's still coming to 360, so who cares if it comes to PS3, I'm glad it will.
And as Cbebop says, 360 exclusives are going to be great. Halo 3, Mass Effect, I'd add Blue Dragon because I can't wait for that(it's exclusive right?)

I'm just waiting to see where Ninja Gaiden 2 goes, because that will decide how badly I want a PSTriple

MYL0R, I thought the same thing at first. Summa, how is being a Sony fanboy any better than being a Nintendo fanboy?

Kane and Lynch is no Ace Combat and DMC 4. Its an unproven franchise that needs to make money. This is an exclusive lost, but since its never been out on ANY system its really not that big of a deal. Ace Combat and DMC 4 are games that are associated with the playstation brand, Kane and Lynch are associated with a game that probly wont do as well as the devs would like.

How do you know I'm REALLY a fanboy of anything? All you guys see is what I choose to put out and put out in a way that I do.

Yeah, but Kane & Lynch is by the guys who did the Hitman games so either way it should be pretty kick-ass.

I didn't think Kane & Lynch was ever a 360 'exclusive'. That's just the console they were announced for first.

I really can't wait for Kane & Lynch. I'll stick pick it up on 360 since that is by far my favorite controller.

Wow, I can buy the same game on a more expensive system too, where do I sign?
Lame. i just assumed that this sort of license would be multi platform. Sony need games that sell the machine. Another non story for a failing system.

I didn't even know this game was exclusive, thats how much I care. And in any case, if I did want it would I buy a 600 dollar system or a 400 dollar one? Wow that's certainly a hard decision!
