Being a Nintendo guy been sucking lately, hopefully I'll get it on some form of Nintendo platform in the future.
I don't like this.
As a fan of Bit.Trip, this screams attempt to appeal to the mainstream crowd.
Abandoning old art style and charm in favor of shiny (and not that great) graphics? Check.
Making a direct sequel to one of their most popular games instead of trying to create something new and fun? Check.
Not on Nintendo? Check.
Now, I admit that I may be a bit biased, and I admit that they could use the money.
Doesn't mean I have to like it, though.

Regardless, Runner is all about lever design at its core, so if they nail that, I'm in. Also excited about the prospect of playing as Junior Melchkin.

The Bit.Trip series looked pretty cool, but I never really got into it considering it was on the Wii.

Looks a lot like the concept art they put out before the original release. I'm personally quite interested in seeing what they do with such a different-looking style, and what kinds of crazy backgrounds and levels they can come up with.
Yeah! I love Bit Trip Runner! The new art style is freaky, yet cool. I hope it still has the same fun gameplay!
That list of features has to be a joke. Please god let it be a joke. It's against everything that Gaijin pioneered so beautifully.
I don't know if I want. A lot of the charm of the Bit Trip series, Runner especially, was the old school sprite work that went along with the old school balls-to-the-walls difficulty. Also, pretty bummed there's no word of it coming to Wii-U, but that's jus the fanboy in me.
That last line in the video made me laugh out loud.

Yay, I'm exactly halfway through playing Bit.Trip Runner in Saga. This is really unexpected, but if it goes well, then YAY. Too bad it isn't going on PC/3DS/Wii, though.
Commandervideo looks like a shit with legs now, I like bit trip's original look much better, the 8 bit theme had a real charm to it.
Runner was favorite Bit.Trip game, by far. I'm glad it's getting a sequel and tons of new features. If they can keep the feel the same (which I'm confident they can) then I am all for it.

@wetterdrew, I'm stuck in world 3. There's a stage called the gauntlet, and its making me wana smash my 3ds into the ground!
While Runner is cool, I'd like a solo Flux/Beat sequel with a bigger track list.

You mean like the Wii U? Just because they haven't announced it for the Wii U yet, doesn't mean that its never coming to it. Maybe they're not a licensed developers for the Wii U yet, so once they get dev kits, I'm sure they're going to work on the Wii U. They have done nothing but stuff for Nintendo's systems thus far, so I can't see them not continuing that trend with the Wii U!

@PEI,not just that, but in general. There's the game drought, all the 3ds criticism from fanboys who never touched a 3ds. F*ck, I'm still waiting for super meat boy, even there's no hope for it coming out on a wii retail disc. And there was megaman legends 3 being canceled. I'm gona forget about all that when zelda, mario land 3d and mario kart 7 all come out
I absolutely love the series, but Runner is easily my least favorite of the bunch. So I'm relatively bummed to see it's getting a sequel, but still excited to play what Gaijin if offering up next.
Having never played any (i hate the wii) this has me interested. Is there some kind of collection of the previous games already out for ps3?

The artist that designed the new Commander Video is the same guy that did the Luigi's Mansion art that made its way around a couple of months back (http://unrealitymag.com/index.php/2011/08/11/luigis-mansion-gets-legitimately-scary/). He also did this Super Meat Boy image (http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/072/7/a/Supr_Meat_Boy_64__by_glitchritual.jpg) and a bunch of other stuff. He's fucking awesome.
