I am proud to be able to present to you the first episode of Bit Transmission, a new podcast featuring two of Destructoid's most interesting editors, Jonathan Holmes and Colette Bennett. I'm also on there as well.
In this episode, we spend some time talking about Bioshock 2 and a couple of the latest WiiWare releases. The second half of the episode has us discussing the changing role of mascot characters in games and how the games industry tries to build our attachment to the games we play.
In future episodes, we'll be tackling a wide variety of topics both old and new to gamers. We're going to try and get some interviews with interesting members of the industry and, of course, we'll want to hear from all of you.
For now, please enjoy our debut. We're very excited about the new show and are looking forward to bringing it to you. You can subscribe to the podcast by visiting the website or click this link to get the straight feed. If you dig it -- or hate it -- you can e-mail us at bits (at) bittransmission.com. And you may want to follow us on Twitter (@bittransmission) where we're planning some fun stuff as well.

I bet you thought we forgot about you. For a whole pile of reasons (all of which can probably be blamed on me somehow) it has been a very, very long time since there has been an episode of Bit Transmission. We're sorry about ...
Time again for another episode of Bit Transmission. We actually have a full hour of content for you in this one, which may or may not be a good thing.
What can you expect in our thirteenth step to the plate? I'm hooked ...
What, exactly, do you think is going
on inside Jonathan Holmes' head up there? I invite you to speculate wildly on this.
It's time for another episode of Bit Transmission. We spend a considerable portion of the show talking ...
The day after I posted the Scott Pilgrim movie review, I attended a round-table interview with the film's director (Edgar Wright) and three of its stars (Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, and Anna Kendrick). They didn't let m...
We talk a lot about Puzzle Quest 2 in this episode. That's about the only part of the conversation where I don't seem inexplicably angry. Later topics in the show include Metal Slug XX and a discussion about game se...
AXE.
We're going to record an episode of Bit Transmission this weekend. I can confirm that we will be talking about Puzzle Quest 2 in some capacity. Also, I fully intend to force a discussion about sprite-based games getting ...
Ten episodes. That's how many it took for me to get one up late. The week after E3 was not the best time to attempt getting a show together. We've learned a valuable lesson today.
Episode 10 features Ed McMillen of Team Meat....
If you've been keeping track, you'll know that I've been a part of two edited E3 10 videos (one pre-show, one post-show) and countless non-edited videos. Compared to last year, where every video was edited, and that's a lot ...
This is really short notice, I realize, but there was a little thing going on this week which drained a lot of our time and resources. Bit Transmission will be recording a new episode this weekend. It'll be our tenth, which m...

We have a really good show for you this time. Dale North is on the program and he and Colette geek out considerably over the Persona series. There is a pretty huge spoiler in there, which...
