Until that magical day when BioWare announces Wrex Effect, it looks like we’ll have to get comfortable with controlling Mr. Blank Slate, Commander Shepard. But even though we can’t play as the rough and gruff space toad in Mass Effect 2, we can become him. Sort of.
Follow us, here. The Vanguard class in the Mass Effect universe is all about getting in enemies faces and then blasting off said faces with a combination of short-ranged weaponry and biotic powers. In Mass Effect 2 specifically, Vanguards will be able to use the “Charge” attack again, which makes Sheppard move around like The Flash after a cocaine binge. Nothing says proximity like a good old fashioned Krogan rush, right? Right?
Well, my main Shepard (girl) is a Vanguard so the upgrade is pretty awesome to see. I was pretty adamant in keeping my main as a Vanguard before, even in the face of the knowledge I could change my class and well, how awesome they made the other classes. This video didn't exactly hinder this idea.
We spent the first game fearing the bad guy that rushes behind us. While the idea of returning the favour appeals to me, doesn't it seem like jumping directly into the enemy lines invites them to shoot you in the back?
Hell yes! My 2nd favorite class gets a kickass ability. Not sure if I'll stick with my guns, guns, and guns Shepard or try out a new Vanguard Shepard for my first playthrough.
@Tuxy79.....Yup! In a recent interview with Casey Hudson he talks about the return of Wrex..Web link..seems that mister ugly is coming back! As long as you didn't blow him away in the first one!

I was a Vanguard in the first but in this I think I'll go to the bullet bending Adept for my first playthrough.
Also, Charge looks bad. I'll stick with my ME1 class, the smexy Adept, a class that could turn the game into Duck Hunt within seconds. On Hard.
I got that feeling, too. Probably seeing shades of Knights of the Old Republic. Looks remarkably similar to Force Jump.
also, i liked it better when the guns didn't have to worry about ammo.. it made it seem really cool and futuristic
