Having said that, I'm just going to go to my grave pretending that the franchise ended at C&C3.
I'm not really excited for this. It has lots of great-sounding names (Bioware, C&C, Generals, Frostbite Engine), but there's no-one involved that actually made these things as good as they are, so the branding doesn't mean anything to me.
Just because BF3 was an FPS, doesn't mean that's the only thing that Frostbite 2 can do. It's like saying that Unreal 3 can only make FPSs. I highly doubt this would somehow be an FPS-RTS hybrid.
...honestly, you just revived memories of Tiberium. RIP.
Anyways, some people not doing a whole lot of homework here. It's not being *directly* made by BioWare. Froody is right. BioWare's name is attached to the title so it attracts attention. It's a studio called Victory Games who's making it. They're made of a bunch of ex-C&C developers (hopefully the ones who made C&C3, in any case). If I had to hedge a bet, BioWare will be in charge of the writing.
Seriously, I welcome all attempts at RTS's, particularly from such a big studio. There aren't enough of those around anymore.
This is better news than i could have imagined!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
How are bioware gonna put conversation options in this! :D
But anyway i love bioware and Generals was the last C&C i liked so bring it on :D
Maybe this game will allow for more strategy and...well, thinking in general.
