Bioware probably developing an original IP photo

Shocker: Bioware might be developing an original IP.

According to once-Bioware producer Daniel Roy’s Linked In profile, the studio was working on an “unreleased original IP” between the January 2008 and June 2009. Roy was a senior producer on the project.

We assume that the IP is still being developed, but haven’t the slightest idea what it is, when it could hit shelves, be teased, or even be announced. We do know, though, that sugar free jam on low carb, chemically twisted toast served alongside a cup of steaming black coffee is a great way to start a morning.

I did a search for him on the internet hoping to find something more substantial and there are literally 20 sites claiming this announces an unknown game. While it MAY do so, it is very possible that this was Dragon Age he was working on. I'm not going to get my hopes up for a figment of LinkedIn's imagination.

I'm positive it'll have a fresh take on narration by giving the player multiple dialogue paths where NPC's repeat themselves, as well as the exciting new ability to place your alignment along the paths of Good and Evil. So exciting!

No really though, more Bioware games isn't really a bad thing.
I just hope they bring something new.

A new Steampunk game, maybe, they haven't done one in that era yet. But then what will their 'chosen one' replacement be? The chosen engineer destined to repair the car, train, boat, and plane?

Well, they were working on Dragon Age during that time, which is an original IP. I am assuming this guy was not on that team though, hence news?

As others have said, it could have been Dragon Age. And Bioware is already stretched thin with DA DLC, Mass Effect 2, and TOR.

I would think it's Dragon Age, it seems he hasn't updated his profile in a while. Could be wrong though. If this holds up to be true, I'll be pretty pumped.

@ TheDirtyHobo

We need more Steampunk games in general, along with more cyberpunk games. Both are amazing underrepresented.

Deus Ex and System Shock are my favorite cyberpunk games. So far I haven't seen other games in the genre to even rival these two. Would like to..

@Vice Did you play Dragon Age? No forced morality in that at all...no repitition of dialogue either

This is the one time where I would really want some sequels instead of new IP's -_-
Dragon's Age Origins was fun and all, but I'd much prefer another NWN, Baldur's Gate, Jade Empire, or non-MMO KOTOR...

I really want to see them have another crack at the DS with an original IP and see what they can do, we need more western RPGs on the DS.

What? Another one? So no Jade Empire 2?
