I am actually kinda surprised that Destructoid still did not report on Bioware's greed, arrogance, how their game is a horrible piece of shit and how they treat their customers like dirt (outsourced customer support anyone?).

Im in my 30s and personally I think they are well within their rights.

A meme? What the fuck is this? I see this word everywhere now. Is this a new word? Where did it come from? Everyone says it now but like 6 weeks ago I had never heard it. Ace didn't "clear up" anything. The fact remains that he wasn't banned for hacking. If anything, Ace was the one with the knee-jerk reaction since he had assumed that the image in the gallery was faked when I made sure it wasn't before I posted it.

@Tony Ponce: the knee-jerk reaction was in posting this as it was news (and it's not), without doing any proper research on the subject (that would have told you that yes, the ban is justified and happens everywhere. Not only justified, but Bioware is legally bound to ban a user that openly states to be under 13, no matter if it's a meme or not) and without even thinking to contact Bioware to ask their take on the issue.
But of course that's what a writer with a shred of professionalism would have done. Scratch that, a writer with a shred of professionalism would know that a ban on a MMORPG isn't really news, and would have thought twice before calling a whole studio "clueless" over the action of a community representative without even knowing the reasons behind it.

Personally, I can agree that the man should have been put on lock down and investigated, but a straight up ban? That's harsh. They could have asked for proof of age first, to try and clear things up. If people break rules on forums you don't "put them under investigation" you warn them or ban them. With all the bad press this is getting Bioware will have to deal with it. He didn't lose his investment. He didn't lose anything. He'd already been suspended for speedhacking, and his account had already been cancelled (by him) PRIOR to bioware banning him. The link is on the first page of the comments where he states such himself.

All I can say is that it seems like it's the cool thing now on the internet to hate Bioware and ToR. The internet hates Bioware because they released ONE game that some people liked and some didn't (DA2). And the internet hates ToR because its end-game doesn't yet measure up to that of WoW; even though it's an awesome MMO that has a ton of replayability because each class has a different story line that makes your character feel like an actual character.
But as I said it a previous post, I'm not going to try to understand internet logic...so whatever.

People keep going on about how the community IN the game is so great, but no one mentions the forums -at all- because, in fact, the community is so great in game cause the FORUMS are chock full of all the trolls and assholes that aren't playing, because they're too busy bitching and fighting with each other. Its a fucking cesspool over there. Like, if Obi Wan thought ill of Mos Eisley, he'd shit a brick over the TOR forums.
