Despite having retired from the videogames industry just over six months ago, BioWare co-founders Dr. Greg Zeschuk and Dr. Ray Muzyka will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual GDC Awards next month. The Choice Awards ceremony will be hosted by Double Fine's Tim Schafer on March 27.
It's good to see the good doctors receive this award; one has to feel their departure from the company they created in 1995 was not on the best of terms, what with the mixed reception of Star Wars: The Old Republic and the controversy over the Mass Effect 3 ending. Here's hoping their future careers in beer and venture capitalism are just as rewarding.
