As you may have heard by now, a couple of BioWare sites -- Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins, but not Star Wars: The Old Republic -- now show a timer counting down to next Monday. Okay, so what's this all about then? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine.
It's likely going to be some sort of announcement for new downloadable content. I'll go ahead and speculate that it'll be related to Mass Effect 2, and the countdown is only on Dragon Age's site for promotional reasons. You can also see the countdown on the studio's main site page, which is plastered with ME2.
Joseph brought up a good point too. Could we possibly see a full-blown expansion to Shepard's story on par with Dragon Age: Origins -- Awakening? I'd buy that for a dollar. Actually, I'd buy that for many dollars. Or maybe, just maybe, they'll announce an entirely separate new game. Speculate away!
BioWare web sites counting down to ... something [Big Download]
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If it's a DLC add-on *and* it's reasonably-priced, then I'll get excited.
Or it could be romance packs for both games.
Obviously it's a darkspawn deed.
Things could get weird....
Hell they've already gotten the stripper motions down.
That said, knowing it isn't KOTOR 3, I'm not holding my breath. Probably two new pieces of DLC, one for DA:O, one for ME2. That or some new disc versions with extra goodies. Either way it's not KOTOR 3.
Bollocks!
Also, Liara DLC do want. It could be something regarding the comics. Again, either way, not KOTOR 3. Poo!
Dragon Age Warp: Rise of the Blood Biotic
Dragon Effect: Grey Wardens of the Normandy
You're on a roll aren't you?
And yeah what @superjay779 + @coruptai125 said
Watch out for Shepard's biotic Hadoken.
I think by now, everyone realizes that the Darkspawn were just servants of the real threat: the Reapers.
Seems awesome so far!
"OMGWTFBBQ" (Hint hint source code.)
Dragon Age: The Adventures of Sten and Wrex
Mass Effect: Morrigans
How to Train Your Reaper
I would love a game where you play as a C-Sec officer on the Citadel, perhaps even play as a younger Garrus on the Citadel!
Something along those lines.
That being said, I didn't play Dragon Age so I have no clue what this could be.
Would be nice if BioWare released free DLC fixing the totally fucking stupid plot holes for Liara/Ashley/Kaiden in ME2, but I'm sure that would be far too much to ask.
Curious about this countdown but expecting some totally deflated annoucement.
