BioShock Limited Edition confirmed for PC, Xbox 360 photo

Thanks to everyone (nearly 18,000 people) that signed this petition, Xbox 360 and PC gamers alike will have the chance to buy the Limited Edition BioShock as well as the standard edition this August. That's right, it is possible to start a reasonable petition and actually accomplish something in the process.

So what extras are going to be packed into the limited edition box? 2K Games is leaving that up to us to decide. You can vote for your favorite pack-in at The Cult of Rapture Web site.

I can only pray that the Big Daddy figurine continues to stay in the lead until the poll closes.

Figurine is nice, but I admit I'd prefer the artbook, since I'm loving the art style for the game.

I don't see why the wouldn't include both. Prey CE came with three figurines and an awesome art book. It was also published by 2K Games like BioShock is.

Random employee: "Sir, our fans are petitioning to get a version of the game that would cost $10 more and make us more money."

Boss: "I like our fans!"

It's funny that there is a voting option for packaging. If they were to select the top 2 or three choices at this point is a figure, art book, and soundtrack wouldn't that necessitate special packaging? Also, I hate to do it, but I agree with Toneman. Also, sea cocks.

Special editions just aren't worth the extra cash anymore. Back in the day you'd get substantial stuff for the extra outlay such as books, high quality posters etc but now its just junk. Who cares that you get an aluminum sleeve around the box? Who cares about some extra concept art on disc?

I'm sure we'll get some sort of Special case so I'll have to vote for the Big Daddy Figure.

@ Churchills Dog

The special edition for .hack//G.U. Volume 1 was worth it. The case was the same, but you got a nice, quality figurine and the Terminal Disc, revealing secrets in the .hack storyline as you progress through G.U. I thought it was well worth the extra $10.

I kind of regret not getting the SE for .hack//G.U. 1. It really did look like it was worth the money. Then again I got the game for 10$ a few months later, so I can't really complain.

The figure pretty far ahead as compared to the others, and I'd probably buy it.
I'd rather have a cool figurine than a DVD. Since I just put the figurine somewhere and bask in all its glory, as opposed to the DVD that I'd never watch.

I don't give enough of a shit to shell out 10-20 extra bucks for any of that crap.

For some, Bioshock is a pretty cool new game.

For others, it is the successor to System Shock 2, one of the finest games ever made, and therefore deserves a luxury edition.
