Sadly absent from this year's E3 was the first look at Irrational Games' next title. The Boston-based studio, whose last title was the critically acclaimed BioShock, decided the massive expo wasn't the place to highlight its follow up.
Instead, it's taking the relatively quiet summer to reveal its next title, launching a teaser website that asks the question, "What is Icarus?" Couldn't tell you the answer to that, but we do know that the mystery title Irrational is working on has been publicly referred to as "Project Icarus."
So what's the game? A new IP? An update of an old franchise? A sequel? We'll know soon enough -- we'll be attending an event on August 11 in New York City, where Irrational is prepared to lift the veil and answer the question "What is Project Icarus?"

I don't see it as a big deal. More of a coincidence me thinks. But I would not care if their were 500 games coming out within a 2 day period based on some sort of Icarus/Gods theme. Because I will still be super duper excited for Deus Ex no matter what. *BONER*

Seriously though, it would be cool if you explore a Soviet floating fortress in which they're researching the technology discovered in Rapture.
