BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams will be in your hands before November 2009 photo

Take-Two Interactive has released its game line-up for the remainder of fiscal 2009, which is set to end on October 31, 2009. Why should you care? Because it reveals that BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams -- among other Take-Two titles -- will be available at retail by then, that's why!

The line-up can be found after the break, but honestly, I bet most of you could probably list what the games are off the top of your head. You've got the usual Grand Theft Auto stuff, a few sports titles, Mafia II, Borderlands, and there you go.

I can only hope that by the time BioShock 2 gets released in 2009, I'll finally be used to the "Sea of Dreams" part of the name.

NEVAR!!! Unless Never becomes before November 2009.

I will get this game (probably) and play it just cause the other one was enjoyable but it wasn't anything too special.

Bioshock is a very strange case.
I loved the first one, but I don't even want to touch the sequel. Anybody else get this feeling?

Sounds great, if the release date doesn't get pushed back a few times.

I am hoping the sequel intails a second site a la Jurrasic Park 2 as someone mentioned a while back on here...and it's in island with above ground and below ground parts. Imagine the Bid Daddies lumbering around an Island with the same feel as Rapture..I think that could be amazing. But just another return to rapture for the sake of $$ doesn't do anything for me either.

I didnt like the first one (I think Bioshock is the most overrated game of this gen, honestly) so obviously I could care less about a sequel.

I agree with sephiroth x bioshock was way overhyped it looked great but some of the missions were weak (example takin pictures of the enemies, and collecting rose samples wtf!)

In my opinion, the thing that kept the first one from being truly great was the story line. They environment was richly developed, but the characters were all pretty thin. And the final boss was just a stupid, cliched final boss battle with no originality. I felt like I was fighting the Phase III Dark Trooper from Dark Forces. Add more depth to the characters, and Sea of Dreams will be a winner

This game culd be amazing... its just, where are they going to set it? How do you carry on a story after an epic ending like that? Prequel? I want it to be good but its still up in the air

Bioshock was one of the best games I've ever played. I feel bad for those who think it was "overhyped".

Sure it's not going to be that long til we get it in our hands, but is it going to suck?

I don't like it. If it's coming out this soon then it means they have either rushed it, or it is too short. I don't think they are going to take this franchise seriously and I would be surprised if this turns out to have more than a fraction of the established quality.

@glandseck:

Totally. BioShock was a wonderfully original experience, and perfectly bookended from a narrative point of view. All I can really see a sequel doing is tarnishing that, so I'll keep my distance until I hear some positive reviews.
