Hot off the heels of a rather interesting (and somewhat polarizing) single-player trailer, 2K Games has returned with yet another video, this time unveiling a brand new multiplayer mode, "Capture the Sister."

As you might imagine, this is a "Capture the Flag" style mode with a Rapture-flavored twist. Players will have to find Little Sisters, grab them, and then deposit them safely into a vent. Of course, other players will be trying to do the same. Watching mutated freaks fight over little girls is equal parts disturbing and hilarious, and it looks like quite a chaotic and crazy experience.

I must confess, the more I see of this, the more confident I get that BioShock 2 will live up to its name. I was very skeptical about the multiplayer, but I am willing to give it a shot. If it looks as good as it does in the trailer, I'll be happy to waste a few hours of my life in it.

What say you? Look tempting, or do you have your reservations?

Chris Hansen does not approve of this mode.

Not to be a grammar cunt, but isn't it "unveiled?"

Never mind. I am starting to get genuinely excited for this game.

That looks good, but it's still the singleplayer atory which matters most!

Really don't see the point of all this multiplayer work. People will play it a few times then go back to Modern Warfare 2. Seems like a whole lot of wasted effort.

omg they're ruining the original!...
or making a pretty cool sequel with some interesting ideas? I'm pretty excited.

@Eficent:

They are adding multiplayer because of all the whiners who want a tacked on multiplayer mode that they can play for a few weeks and then ditch for something else.

It'll end up like the MP for Uncharted 2 and MGS 4. It'll be a mediocre shell of the game it comes with, but it'll be free and will get a decent following among all the die hard fans of the game.

*sigh. You know who said Bioshock would be better with a multiplayer mode? That's right: No one. Ditch this garbage.

I'm going to pick up BS2 for the single player story but I'm sure these multiplayer modes will give the title a little more longevity.

Probably one of the more interesting twists on Capture the Flag I've seen.

Of course, I now propose that we petition 2K to put bear masks into multiplyer.

I love how everyone just assumes that the single-player will fall off because of the inclusion of a multi-player mode. As if they are actually pissed that they will be getting more bang for their buck.

Oh noes! Something to do after I complete the single-player game! The horror!

I can just see the Jack Thompson's of the world turning this into a "Video games are turning people into kidnappers!!".

Not every game is going to have Online MP component like CoD or Halo that people gravitate towards but I'm nit sure that means developers shouldn't try to make decent online experiences. That said all games don't need tacked on MP. If Dead Space 2 gets death match that would be retarded for example. Bioshock may have not needed online multiplayer but at least it seems like 2k is focused on single player and they are using other developers fir multi which is a plus. Too many time development teams are spread thin trying to do too much in a limited time frame. Hope it ends up being worth the effort.

Nope. I barely enjoyed the first game enough to finish it. It started strong, but was soooooooooo repetitive after a while.

God this game looks like a disapointment. I loved Bioshock, but this sequel... ugh.

I hate the fact that they're doing a Multiplayer only because of a whiner minority. Should've focused on the Single player, but now is too late.

What made the first BioShock so great was the plot, immersive environment, and imo the Art Deco (I'm a sucker for the 20s and 40s). Multiplayer doesn't make it any greater or worse... it's just there. It seems like it'd be fun to play with friends when bored, though.

MP looks interesting. But let's face it we're all in it for SP. Although I have no MP that I currently play I will definitely give it a try.
