I mean, the last time I heard of him, was Bad Santa. When was that released?
I kid I kid, but he'd better watch his fucking mouth.
Films are shit right now, but do you know why? Because the economy is shit and no-one is willing to take a risk. Everyone is making middle of the road bullshit, guaranteed to sell, and no one is going out on a limb to bring anything interesting to the table.
Thats why, Billy fuckwit Thornton.
And, I dunno, I guess the videogame bit was kind of dumb. Whatever that was all about.
And other various typos. Sorry I'm so bad at commenting on my phone. I blame music. Because of reasons.
If he thinks all movies are shit then he should make an amazing movie he is an actor for fucks sake.
It's way too easy to be ignorant.
The thing about having an opinion is that sometimes you shouldn't use it. Call of Duty is fine to play, it's easy to jump in and out of. That's the reason most people play it, there sure as hell not playing it for the revolutionary gameplay and design.
As much as I dislike call of duty, stop pinning the blame on people who like those games. It's not their fault and you know it.
But the videogame generation isn't US. It's the newer gamers who are buying all these new terrible rehashed unoriginal games.
Videogames are in just as bad a state as movies now.
"Hehe the ladies lurve Billy Bob"
Looks like someone ran out of french fried potaters, mmmmhmmm
Its amazing how despite the "worst period ever", we still have some of the best movies ever produced year in, year out. Its almost like Billy Bobs an idiot.
It's also fair to say story telling in gaming as a whole needs a kick up the arse, we complain about it pretty regularly.
But straight up blaming gaming, Bill? Not cool. but he's just some old timer having a rant at the end of the day. Who cares?
Games with an actual message, however, well, its done better within the game.
:/
I don't think he recognizes the reason video games are lacking as a source of inspiration - the problem with video games is that they have looked to much like movies for years.
It's practically self-referencing - Video games copy movies, and movies copy video games. At the end of the day both become really stale. And then Toy Story 3 and Mario Bros. Wii come along and remind you why you watch movies and play games again.
