Bethesda unveils Fallout 3's PC requirements, less than 20 days 'til launch photo
     PC

With less than twenty days to go until Fallout 3 is unleashed upon the world, I'm finding it increasingly harder to contain my sheer joy and excitement.

While sadly I won't be playing the game on a PC -- believe me, I would if I could -- it's obvious a good number of you guys will, and that's why we're happy to unmask the system requirements for Bethesda's latest creation.

Unfortunately, you'll have to hit the jump to see 'em as they take up too much room to fit in this space. Oh, and while you're there, feel free to gloat about how awesome Fallout 3's meaty explosions are going to look on your rig.

Dang. These 2+ weeks are going to be brutal. At least I'll have Far Cry 2 to lull me over until a week later, on the 28th.

In other words the game will run on a toaster.

Been there done that thanks for the useless info Bethesda..wake me when you got the next crysis level engine.

I'm sure it'll run perfectly fine on my rig, most certainly it'll look better than the 360 version. I'd like a demo to test it out though.

Woo! Minimum requirements are my friend! I really want this for 360 for prettyness, but I don't want to miss out on the potential products of the mod community..so PC on low settings it shall be!

Why won't you be PCing it up, Grim? Those are pretty low, pretty much anything and everything from the last four or five years will run it no sweat.

Yes, I can run the game, but not at a high enough level to meet my satisfaction. In other words, I need a new processor/mobo so I can finally replace this AGP card.

I wish my laptop had a better processor. I really never planned on gaming when I bought it though.

For whoever is writing all this down, add me to the list too. I can run this on my Pc easily.

Wait, what's that? Noone is writing this down? Nobody cares if any of you can run it or not?

Nevermind then, just ignore this comment.

Damn. I have minimum requirements. I'll have to see if they're actual minimum requirements to play the game properly or minimum requirements to see a frame each second.

No DRM or even CD-Keys. This game is going to be the best PC release of the year after Left4Dead.
Also, if you bad mouth Left4Dead I will rip off your testicles, shove them down your throat, shove a large hook up your anus, and pull them through your body destroying all internal organs, and finally repeat the process all while saying, "BOOMER BOOMER BOOMER BOOMER."

anyone have a left over C2D motherboard that actually has full speed PCI-e? My backup board has me screwed on this one. Still, should get medium settings with the 8800GTS even at 4X. Argh.

This will work but I'm only sure because I've had my PC for three weeks now. I'm splitting my games betwen my 360 and my PC: Fable 2, Mirror's Edge and Dead Space on the 360 and Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 and Left 4 Dead on the PC.

@Cube: So Crysis type engines is the level you think all PC games should be at? You do know the reason that game sold like crap (besides it being a shitty game) was because no one could run it above 2fps, and were forced to return it.

Welcome to the minority Cube, Takes more than graphics to sell me on a title. Fallout will blow Crysis out of the pond.
