lmao considering the fact that problems mentioned IN EVERY SINGLE Rage preview mentions not quality of the textures and so on and poor performace of the game with constant pop-up and some framerate issues.
it's like KFC assuring customers that their food is healthy by saying that they buy ony american furniture for their restaurants - completely irrelevant just as Pete Hines "confirmation".

yeah, all the guys who played the game are lying - PR guy whose whole purpose is to sell you a product at all costs knows best.
"Obviously this was unfinished preview code I was playing, and is currently being bug-checked before the finalised version is sent"
Not to mention Pete Hines quote in This article?
Ugh!!!
1) Article pertaining to Sony pops up on Dtoid.
2) Comment from Sofik appears in the comment section of said article, mainly of an incredibly ignorant anti-Sony angle.
3) A wiser, less idiotic member of the community calls him on his bullshit and offers thorough evidence against his angry rant.
4) Sofik stands by his idiocy, continues to be the latest laughing stock of the Dtoid community, at least until Mattrodroid finds a way to become unbanned.
THE CIIIIIIIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE.
This is completely off-topic, but are you a fan of the song by Sigur Ros, or are you saying you're lost at sea? Honestly, the only reason I know of the song and the band is because of the E3 2008 Prince of Persia trailer. I still have it on my hard drive despite owning the game.
I have not idea why people are worried about the PS3. It has a harddrive to back it up, for pre-installation and as a cache. It's like a weaker version of a PC.
The console people should be worried about are 360s /wo harddrives. The weakest console for Rage due to it's use of huge textures.
Carmark even half jokingly admit, the easiest way to fuck up the game is to walk backwards into a "busy" area like town and whip around 180 while playing on a harddrive-less 360.
All 360 owners can also look forward to slightly more compressed textures, as the textures are actually compressed twice on the 360 (high compression to store on disc, decompressed then re-compressed to DXT format that the 360 GPU can handle).
Overall, IMO it's probably a wash between the 2 consoles.
It's 22 GB on the 360 because MS doesn't allow partial installs. >.>
So it's either you install the whole fucking game or none at all.
While Sony messed up the PS3 product development in many, many ways. MS is far from "blameless", and have it's fair (and rather large) share of fuck ups - the most serious of which is RROD.
Resistance didnt sell well on PC? Not surprised. Off to play Arma2 OA or something else that takes full advantage of said platform.
Broken DVD drives is one of the top 3 call drivers, in Xbox tech support (slims included). I know this because i worked there. Using the shoddy Customer Care Framework (CCF aka whole bunch of scripts), Customer Assistance Portal (CAP aka to look into your account) and Visual Knowledge Database (VKB, self explanatory) -we were equipped with faulty information that was written by a legal team so as to fob off any customers with any sense (specifically in regards to DVD drives).
Tech-mongs didnt know any better; knew there was something wrong but couldnt back it up and got overwhelmed with pre-written scripted answers. They paid for a repair.
I whole-heartedly disagree with MS's business practice in regards to this.
Ill be buying this game for PC and for a comparison ill be "acquiring" for my JTAG, because i can. Guilt free.
