Bethesda Softworks announced today that they are opening a new publishing office in Sydney, Australia. The main line of work for this office is to oversee sales and marketing for both Australia and New Zealand. They say that this underscores the importance of this growing region.

Simon Alty will take over as Managing Director. He and his team played a key role in launching Skyrim. He'll have a big year with the upcoming launches of games like The Elder Scrolls Online, The Evil Within, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Good luck Down Under, Bethesda.
