Can you feel it? In less than one week, the 3DS launches. Despite a less-than-desirable line-up of launch games, there's an undeniable excitement in the air. And even with just the augmented reality cards and other pack-ins, I can see why; technology lust is in full effect.
For those in New York City, Nintendo is throwing a midnight launch event. It kicks off at 9:00 PM EDT at the Best Buy in Union Square and promises hands-on 3DS demos, food, music, and giveaways. For the rest of us, additional Best Buy locations will also be selling the device at midnight.
So, which game(s) are you looking at? Pilotwings Resort for me.

I actually start at 8, but work are letting me come in late on the proviso they get to play.
Cant actually remember a console with a mind blowing launch line-up, though.
Seems like there can only be one good launch line-up a generation :/
And yeah, longevity seems to be the major concern for a lot of these games. At least the wait for more first-party titles won't be too long.
...and of course there's technology lust! We haven't had a new console launch in almost 5 years! Don't you miss it?
