Beneath a Steel Sky 2 confirmed for PC, Mac, and phones!
Beneath a Steel Sky 2 did not quite reach the funding requirements set forth in Broken Sword's Kickstarter, but Revolution has revealed that fan support was so enthusiastic, it's prepared to risk the game anyway. Beneath a Steel Sky 2 is an actual thing now! "We're delighted by the recent level of interest in a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky and are currently discussing design ideas for this project which we plan to go into development following the release of Broken Sword - The Serpent's Curse," confirmed Revolution's Tony Warriner. "We're deeply touched that our Steel Sky fans are as enthusiastic today as they were when the original game released in 1994." The game's set for PC, Mac, and mobile devices. This is pretty amazing news. Steel Sky is an absolute delight, and a game I highly recommend (it's free now). Also, if Revolution wants to save money and needs voice actors ... ahem ... I don't charge. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Sounds like GOOD NEWS for the FANS! I REALLY need to get around to FINISHING the ORIGINAL one of these days, what I PLAYED of it was QUITE ENJOYABLE! Ha ha, I hope they take you up on that, your accent would fit pretty well. Good to hear it's being made aswell! @Fandango: Fucking AWESOME.
Finally got to play this beauty last year. Beat it and got half-way through a second play. Sequel, procure my dollars NOOOOWWWWW @OverlordZombie: Snatcher's very existence makes me want a Snatcher ANYTHING. I still think that a proper sequel using a modified version of MGS's combat for Snatcher battles mixed with an emphasis on investigation, evidence gathering and puzzle solving (i.e. whate hospital? and the element puzzle) would be stellar. Welp, looks like I'll have to start playing the first one to see what all the fuss is about. It's just sitting there in my GoG library. Aus-- do it man totally worth it. I played it over a weekend a few months ago.
I totally forgot about this. will purchase. YES! beneath a steel sky is one of my absolute favorite games! I hope they keep the same excellent level of art and charming voice actors.
