In my review of the PC version of Bejeweled 3 I said it was like PopCap made sure that we would never fully pay attention to anything ever again. But reality set in. I played the sh*t out of Bejeweled 3 and then put it aside for something else. That's life. That's gaming. But PopCap knows this. They also know that if they re-release the game on other platforms that we'll play it all over again.

Today PopCap announces that the crack-like, match-three puzzle game will be coming to Xbox 360 (and XBLA), PS3 (and PSN) and DS sometime late this year for both North America and Europe. This will be the first time a PopCap game has launched for all of these platforms at the same time. They're saying Q4. I will use the time I have until then to be productive.

There goes my day: Bejeweled 3 is on Xbox Live Arcade

Great. My productivity just flew out the window. I had my head down in full work mode, but PopCap killed all motivation by sending word that Bejeweled 3 is now up on Xbox Live Arcade. It's available now for 1,200 Microsoft Po...more

Review: Bejeweled 3

At many times these past few weeks you could have found me in a dark room, with my face lit only by a computer screen's light. My face would be half smiling, and my eyes would be half open, stuck in a blissful state. In my gl...more

Review: MLB 14 The Show

I was ready for last year’s The Show to be its PS3 swansong, I was feeling it. It’s not that it wasn’t good. It was as good as it ever was. But there were signs of age. The same old horrifying fan models in ...more

Review: Neo XYX

The shoot-'em-up genre will never perish, and neither will the Dreamcast. No matter how niche it can get at times, shooters old and new come out of the woodwork in the most unexpected of places, from Steam to legacy consoles. One such release is Neo XYX, a new (yes, in 2014) game for the Sega's last console, making this the second Dreamcast release this year. It's also the best.more

Review: Constant C

Since Braid hit it big in 2008, puzzle platformers have been indie bread and butter. Manipulation of physics concepts like time and gravity has become relatively common in the genre. Constant C takes those ideas a half step f...more
