The Behemoth's Twitter account popped up with a delightful nugget this afternoon. In a gameplay demonstration, Dan Paladin and Emil Ayoubkhan show how things have been coming along with the mysterious, "Game #3."
The video features what they refer to as "soul mode" (the actual name of the mode will be divulged later), a sort of "King of the Hill" game. Dan and Emil play as a team against two AI opponents as each team tries to hang on to ghostly balls, scoring points as long as they continue to hold one. While they play, they talk about some of the game elements, ways in which they're working on game balance and how we can expect another metric ton of stuff to unlock with this title.
It's pretty interesting stuff, all told, and it's nice to hear developers talk about the project they're working on in such a casual way. I particularly like that, since there's no game audio, they used the music for the Alien Homonid PDA Games in the background. If nothing else, it's enjoyable for that alone. Hit the jump to check the video out for yourself.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
As of now, it looks far more simple than I would like. But I'm willing to wait a little longer to see what more they will do with it.
It's probably a personality thing. There are a lot of talented people that own their own companies but hate doing the whole leadership and media thing. They just want to sit in their office and hack away...
I really excited about this game. But I love Castle Crashers so much that I'm also disappointed that more DLC hasn't come out.
Dan Paladin says there is one right in this video. So, I remain hopeful. But yeah, this looks rather uninteresting thus far.
this is just one mode from the game. there are bound to be plenty of other modes out there. this looks like it'll be a party game which is meant to be picked up and played quickly with a bunch of people or something like that, akin to all the mini-games in littlebigplanet or warioware. i for one think this looks awesome and am looking forward to it.
I do love the facial expressions and end game leg growing.
