So hey, yeah. Square Enix is doing the whole retro nostalgia pixel thing now too. What's old is cool again. I can be totally down with that, but...

Damn, 3 new SQ albums this summer? I'm pretty much equally excited for all 3, but the heavy metal always grabs my attention first. SQ Chips was pretty great, and I like that they seem to realize that, putting out a second album so quickly.
Looking forward to FFXIII-2 Plus first though! I might finally get that remix of New Bodhum I emailed you about. You were right, it does sound like a prototype version of it. I don't know why I couldn't hear it before.

@Shinta: There are TWO "New Bodhum" remixes on the FFXIII-2 PLUS album. I already penned my review. One is a slower, prototype version, and the other is a Mitsuto Suzuki solo style version with dreamy electronic soundscapes and funky digitized vocals, like a lot of his solo works.
The album is still confusing overall, just like the original FFXIII Plus album. I'm hoping Square Enix will provide Dtoid with translated liner notes so we know what the composers were demonstrating with these tracks.
Anyway, about SQ, yeah, Cafe and Chips were good from last year, but these look poised to top even those. Looking forward to more information myself. I just hope at the 2,000 price point we're getting more than 30 minutes of music (I think Chill SQ was under 40 minutes?).
