Just in case any of you out there are wondering what goes on inside of my head all day, just take a look at the above intro movie from the upcoming Beautiful Katamari and wonder no more. Of course, myinner Bollywood musical includes even more pandas, rainbows, and butterflies, but I think you get the picture.
Although this video is amazing (I mean, come on!), I have a few nagging questions:
-Is that the Prince’s mother (the assumed Queen of all Cosmos)?
-Are all the cousins coming back as playable characters?
-Is holding up an elephant the nonverbal way of saying “Water my mushroom garden, woman!”?
Hopefully all of these questions (and more!) will be answered when Beautiful Katamari is released this fall for the Xbox 360. I am already high … with anticipation!

Yes, that is the prince's mother and the queen of the cosmos. I would assume the cousins are all coming back, they have been in all 3 previous games. And I am unsure about the elephant bit! I'd assume most people don't have tiny elephants *nod*
There area a lot of new cousins, like one who is just a snowman ( just a stereotypical snowman, no prince like characteristics) and one with an apple for a head.
I'm personally hoping for a "design a cousin" mode, especially for online vs.
to answer your questions
1. yes, in a video in we <3 katamari you see the prince born.
2. they said there would be more cousins and presents and dlc
3. yes, in japan holding an elephant statue is a sign for the woman to check the fungi.
i think the wii version shows promise since you can control the ball with the wii mote otherwise the 360 version is just the same as the first katamari. i played we love katamari and it was too similiar to the first game but with more things to role up. its fun going underwater to roll stuff up and rolling up islands and stars and planets but damn how much more can you role up before the game just gets tiresome??
@Neonie: urf? it's the intro. And if you haven't experienced katamari, you should make it your top priority. Everyone loves katamari. Fact.
@ the video... did anyone else notice the "online experience may change" bit standard in all games with online play? Is there something about this I wasn't told? Katamari deathmatch!?
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
More likely a reference to Me & My Katamari *nod*

...
I'm standing on a stool and watching it, trust me, it's better.
Definitly NOT one of my most anticipated games right now. *Gose back to drooling over Bioshock*
:)
I live on the third floor and I stood up to watch it, this thing is fucking unbelievable.
This is the least wacky of the intros. There's barely any animals, so few oddball pans, hmm. Should I be worried?
The King of all Cosmos is a giant man, so of course an elephant would appear to be tiny.

In doing so, you let me know and each and every one of you that I'd like to shoot in the face.
As of now, only for the Xbox 360, although a Wii version is rumored (sorry, PS3).

Y'know, I've never played a Katamari game. I should pro'lly do something about that.
