Bungie's prequel to its Halo trilogy (and very possibly its last Halo title, period) Halo: Reach is right around the corner. The game hits shelves on September 14, and fans of the franchise are in for what could be the best game in the series to date.
Today, Bungie and Microsoft have released a new trailer that highlights the game's campaign, including new music from Marty O'Donnell's original score. You'll see the Covenant invasion of Reach, and you'll watch as Noble Team fights them back, along with some of the game's space combat scenarios.
It's looking good, and even as someone who will admit he's not a huge fan of the Halo series, it has my attention. If anything, I think it's the most visually attractive game in the series, by a wide margin. Check it out and let us know if you agree.

It's really shaping up quite nicely. If you are interested in forge I'd recommend going to the bungie site. They currently have a segment going called incompetent cartographer detailing how easy it is to make a map.

i myself have choosen NOT to buy blacks ops in favor of Halo Reach. sorry, it just seems so far that reach has things that will keep my interest whereas blacks ops has shown me no reason to buy it yet.
As a halo fan, I understand what you mean. Reach seems to have a much better story than just "Aliens are gonna activate a ring to destroy shit, stop them"
The start gave me flashbacks to that crappy film called "Avatar". Instant hate.
And since I can play Crysis 2 AND halo on my 360, does that mean 360 > PC?
(btw, I'm getting Crysis on the PS3 if that means anything)

Is that why when I played halo 2 on pc with a 360 controller I beat everyone. It's how you play the game, not what you play with.
@ Minus: I understand what you mean. I played an ungodly amount of halo 2 and didn't lose interest, but then after a certain time I got bored with 3.

It will also be a nice respite to have an FPS game with a full campaign, instead of a multi-player game with a hackneyed single player element so they have an excuse to charge a full $60.

Eat anything up from Bungie? Hahaha, if you knew what you were talking about then you'd know that Dtoid are one of the biggest Halo bandwagon haters that there has ever been. Traditionally, only the halo fans (Like myself) have had to defend the franchise on a constant basis against the likes of SexualChocolate, and at one point PatriotSnake.

Wished the trailer was a little longer, but it's certainly epic. Hopefully there's a Halo campaign that actually lasts longer than six hours this time.
