I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually really interested in a WiiWare game. Ravenously so, in fact. WayForward's horror/puzzler LIT comes to Wii consoles on Feb 9th, and I can honestly say I can't wait to get my hands on it -- not just because it has horror themes, but also because it looks genuinely different and WiiWare hasn't seen anything like that since World of Goo.

The game tells the story of Jake and Rachel, two high-school teens who find themselves trapped in a version of their school that has become disturbingly unfamiliar. I can't wait to review this on RetroforceGo! next week ... it sure is a breath of fresh air from the endless uninspired puzzle games I usually have to talk about!

WayForward is an excellent development studio. If memory serves me, they are the folks behind the glorious retro-tribute Contra 4 on the DS, the niche RPG/Shooter hybrid Sigma Star Saga on the GBA, and the completely unheard of (though VERY good) platformer Shantae on the Gameboy Color. They've done alot of other licensed doodoo too, but it's really just to finance their real projects. They have a real loving, oldschool flair to the stuff they approach. This could be really worthwhile. Thanks for the heads up Colette!

damn, this looks very interesting. I haven't purchased a wiiware game since WoG, so this could break that dry spell.

My interest, it has been piqued. I haven't bought a WiiWare game yet, but this looks pretty cool...

I'm with you, C. I may just have to make some Sophie's Choice-style decisions and figure out what gets deleted from my Wii's memory for this. That trailer is unbelievable. I'm not even going to wait for your review.

My only disappointment is that the title isn't made of the usual WiiWare ridiculousness. Chad won't have a fit over such a succinct and fitting title.

Nintendo Power teased us about this when WiiWare was first coming out, I think this is really the only WiiWare title I've actually been waiting to see.

Time to desperately move things from hard drive to SD card to make room for this...
