Bayonetta screens do little to curb our lust for the game photo

Sega has released a new batch of screenshots for upcoming Platinum Games title Bayonetta, a game that's shaping up to be just my cup of tea. Balls-to-the-wall combat, absolutely ridiculous concepts, and a heroine who seems to have giraffe legs. These are the three ingredients to any perfect action game.

With the pedigree of Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya behind Bayonetta, I expect good things, as do a majority of the Destructoid staff. Fingers are crossed, but the chaps at Platinum rarely let us down. Good times ahead, methinks.

This game looks like alot of fun to play, however it looks exactly like Devil May Cry 4. Even the backgrounds and character models looks very similar. When I first say this game was announced I thought it was a DMC spin-off, I guess I was wrong.

Jim, the arrow pointing at her leg looks like its pointing at here calf, the thigh is the meaty part above the knee. For good example see chun li.

This is an outrageous personification of character. Capcom is going all out this year , how the hell can you let a game like this hit the shelves! This is clearly a false representation of all the librarians in the world.

This is definitly sexist.

The head of the lady is so small, that it looks some kind of awful. She has a pea sized brain, if you take her head size into consideration. I know it is stylized in a comic book way, but still..

I hope the controles arn't similer to Devil May Cry 4, I always found it difficult to pull of combos in that game and the controller configuration was kind of uncomfortable ( at least in the 360 one).

The arrow is actually pointing to her calf. Unless thigh and calf are reversed in Britain.

Despite the fact that she appears to have legs up to her neck, I find Bayonetta herself to be really weird looking. That doesn't mean it won't be a good game, but I don't see where the theme of "sexiness" is supposed to come through here-- 99% of female game characters are hotter than this chick.

Or maybe that's just my warped female perspective.
