Bayonetta is soon to rape the face of Japan while we in the West have to wait until next year. That sucks, but what doesn't suck is this utterly ridiculous commercial. If you want to watch a cute Japanese girl get herself off over Bayonetta while a man barks incoherent nonsense in a needlessly authoritative tone, then you are going to really enjoy watching it.
In other news, Bayonetta has been reviewed in Famitsu and given a 40/40 score. Just thought I'd mention that, rather than do a full "Videogame magazine reviews videogame" story that seems to happen every time Famitsu rates something. If you're not played the demo, I urge you to get a Japanese Xbox Live account and do so, as it's really rather brilliant.

Let us not forget that Famitsu also gave a 40/40 rating to FFXII and Nintendogs. They've given out 39/40 scores to a ton of sketchy games too. High scores from Famitsu are getting like 9/10s from IGN, it's rare to see Famitsu actually slag off anything these days.
I want Bayonetta to be great, but a high score in Famitsu really counts for nothing now.
The demo was incredibly fun... it's like all the crazy shit you could do in God of War's qte's, but in real time. The fight on the falling clock tower and fighting the miniboss on a bridge as he swings the bridge back and forth... did it make any sense? No. Was it fun as hell? Dear God yes.
I've got to say, I did enjoy the Bayonetta demo. Made a big mistake of downloading a load of other demos to find out they were VNs and I couldn't figure anything out.
Oh, and Bayonetta really doesn't look like Sarah Palin in motion. At all.
