With Bayonetta out in Japan, Sega can finally concentrate on saturating the West with video trailers and promotional chicanery. Here's the first trailer, a new video that shows off the weapons and combos in Platinum Games' over-the-top action title. It really is an awesome game.
Of course, the quality of the game and what you do in it doesn't matter. What does matter is that Bayonetta's head is allegedly too small for her body. You may continue to make those baseless and untrue accusations while I continue to build my filthy, stained, slightly worrying Bayonetta shrine in the cupboard.

Sooo awesome, here's a question I hadn't thought of. Is this fixed camera angles ala GOW and DMC or Ninja Gadien style frustration? Anyone know? Looks like fixed, which I prefer for this type of game.
Can't wait until 1st quarter spring 2010. It's too bad so many developers couldn't compete with call of duty and simply conceded defeat. Otherwise i'd be playing so many other games.
I think people are just so used to imperfection, that they believe Bayonetta is disproportionate. But no – I would say every woman who doesn't look like Bayonetta has short necks, big heads and no curves. THEY are the disproportionate ones, and they should be treated as such. Also, hair bikinis.
The video player sucks. It sucked before, it sucks even more after I have to watch the same fucking ad fifteen times. Once before, once after? Can't you guys host on Youtube?
All the hate for Bayonetta just because of sex appeal is missing the point- that's all just an added bonus. The gameplay looks rock-solid from any angle, even if you replaced the character with a pile of cardboard boxes instead of a gunslinging MILF witch.
@TheStripe: Hear hear! Viddler is killing your content with ad spam, Destructoid, and the natives are restless. I'm more than willing to view ads to help support such a great community, but Viddler's ads are starting to make folks reluctant to even click on videos because of the unskipable and annoyingly repetitive adverts.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
game looks decent if the control scheme works.

This game really can't come out soon enough.
next paycheck goes towards the reserve
That said, this game is looking insanely fun.
