Bayonetta (the game I want to be inside), will be delivering a demo to the eager masses (and the eager mass in my pants) on October 8 (sexual intercourse). So far, the demo date has been announced on Japanese blog Andria Sang, but we're pretty sure it'll hit the US and Europe around same date, if not a few days after. We're double checking, just to be definite. Either way, it's nothing a quick Japanese account won't fix.
Interestingly, the Xbox 360 and PS3 demos will be different. Both demos will include a tutorial and The Angel's Metropolis stage. The 360 demo, however, will get a second stage, Falling Clock Tower, thrown into the bargain. It really seems that PS3 owners have been getting the short end of the stick ever since this game had been developed.
Doesn't matter to me, though. Not committing yourself to simply one console is so awesome, is it not?

But I'm not too bothered about Bayonetta, perhaps the demo will do it's job on me, but I'm pretty busy with Demon's Souls and Scribblenauts right now, not to mention uncharted in like 2 weeks.
None of the above. Platinum is working on the Xbox 360 version and Sega is porting it. The 360 is the lead platform for this game (every game has a lead) so it's natural Platinum is able to do things sooner and more efficiently on one platform. It just happens to be the 360 in this case.

The extra level doesn't hurt either. Though it is a pretty shady thing to do to PS3 owners, Metropolis is a blast to play on its own.

There's every chance that level just doesn't exist for PS3 yet, or isn't up to scratch. Having a publisher port a version for a developer is certainly a unique situation. I simply think in the case of Bayonetta, it's more about logistics than money or politics.

I mean this is devil may cry with a chick, and a less coherant story. Nothing more or less. Borderlands is boasting so much about it's guns that you haven't even stopped to wonder why it's not mentioning any other aspect.But again, put in shiny new graphics and it's suddenly AAA.
It won a lot of awards at E3, including my site's "Game of the Convention". A lot of people who played it really, really enjoyed it.
Most anticipated title of 2009? For me, anyway.
Thing is, we're not judging those games based on how they "look." We've played both of them and love them.
Borderlands looks golden though.
I think Bayonetta will be one of the chosen of this gen.
