Battlestar Galactica Online confirmed by Vivendi photo

Hot on the heels of the recent Firefly MMO announcement, it appears there's a Battlestar Galactica Online in the works.

While little information has been revealed (other than a listing by EB Games/Gamestop and a subsequent confirmation by Vivendi Games to French gaming sites), it seems the game will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. By tacking the word "online" to something, one can only assume we're speaking about an MMO. But I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility that we might see a Battlestar Galactica kart racer. No word on whether Lt. Starbuck will have a pee pee or a vagina.

EB Games/Gamestop has listed the game for an October 2007 release. More details and an official announcement are sure to follow shortly.

I can't identify with a game where 2 out of 3 people are left-handed.

This makes me sad. Seriously, i am a huge BSG fan. This is just the beginning. First the table top RPG, now and online RPG. Pretty soon there is going to be a BSG everything.

Why can't a good IP stay in one format. the TV series is great, making all this other shit will just taint the greatness of it. I am a sad panda.

I'm hoping this one will be based on the current Sci-Fi Channel version.

Kyle? Does this make it more your speed? Marketing types pander to your every whim when you have easy problems like that...

Um, I'm guessing it'll be the newer show since more people care about that version than they ever did for the old one.

"Why can't a good IP stay in one format?"

Ted, buddy... Don't ever walk into a Disney Store. You will likely be disappointed.

Crap, Ted, couldn't help myself...

I doubt they make this anymore, but this was my first calculator.

You're really going to hate what else IS in stock at the Disney Store.

The world hangs in the balance. I do love the new BSG but how cool would a feathered hair red vinyl jacket mmo be? Not very you say? Probably for the best. Cylon sparklies start seizures. True story.

If you look at the IMDB page for the pee pee version, You'll see that Dirk Benedict has this thingy listed:
Battlestar Galactica (2003) (VG) (voice) .... Lt. Starbuck, Lukas
Noticed the "VG" ? Yup, that means no vagina this time :/

Judging from the things Dirk Benedict has said about the new series, I'd say both of them have vaginas.

Takosuke: A Battlestar Galactica game was released in 1993 for the Xbox and PS2. It was developed by the same team that did Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter. Take that how you will.

My bets on vagina.
