Time to iron those wrinkled pieces of your rattled soul, Battlefield PC enthusiasts. In a stunning announcement this afternoon, EA DICE reversed its previous decision to hate the majority of its original fans -- a PC Battlefield: Bad Company 2 MP beta is indeed on its way, hitting this January 28th.
According to the game’s official blog, the beta will feature the Port Valdez map and the same very same “Rush” game mode that PS3 owners enjoyed exclusively first earlier this November. Vehicles and infantry on the snowy Port Valdez have been confirmed.
The beta's life ends on February 25th.

And I really wish that for once developers would cater to the schedules of college students. This comes out the day after I start school again.
Pretty fun though. Could give MW2 some competition, but can't beat it. Don't think anything can. Sadly.

BC2 will kick MW2 ass baby!!! maybe not in selling like those bastards but in fun it will kick Bobby Kotick ass!!! ;)
I didn't say it wouldn't beat it in terms of quality, but when there is a game that big, like MW2 is, it'll be hard to overcome that.
Battlefield does has a huge PC following. If any series can give CoD a run for it's money, it's this or Medal of Honor.

Nowadays I put a premium on cheat prevention over Mods, especially on the PS3 where I don't expect mods at all.
Loved L4D fan maps, but when the graphics are this high, I don't expect a fan map to have the massive detail that makes the game special enough to buy or support in the first place.
I'm having the same problem, and I have another question: How can I set it so that I sign up for the PC beta in particular, not the PS3 beta?
