Though the flight speed (speaking BF1942 Desert Combat) seems kinda slow, still sick though, really, really sick.

One side of me looks at that clip and goes wow that's fucking awesome.Then another side of me thinks that looks to damn busy and would rather play MW3.
Why is everyone so excited about Jets in BF3? Does no one remember from previous Battlefield games how painful it is to fly them and actually be effective in them. You practically have to have a pilots license to actually kill anyone or anything in them.
Also, most of the time the jets are only good for air-to-air combat, so someone else needs to be flying a jet on the opposite team to even have anyone to combat.
In my opinion jets are only good for getting from one place to another quickly before parachuting out. This is all people ever used them for in the other BF games.
But anyways ... OMG JETS!!!

I'm sorry what? I had no real big problem flying in 1942, especially not at Iwo Jima. Bombing was a matter of aiming and timing.
It's a matter of knowing and feeling a Zero or a Mustang, I spent most of my time on those maps flying those planes, easy as hell once you get the feel of it.

It's good to see superior pc features being used and not held by back the simple minded console folk.
I gotta agree with SilverDragon. I've never done well in the flying vehicles in the Battlefield games. That and everyone has already taken them.

I loved BF2 so much. This better be BF2.5 or NO BUY. From the looks of things;
• There is still a 4-player limit to squads, just like the dumbed-down infantry-focused BF:BC2.
• Jets looks slow as hell.
• They are still showing infantry combat.
BF2 was completely focused on vehicular combat. If you were on foot, you were doing it wrong. I seriously hope they ignore BF:BC and BF:BC2 with this, the next 'true' Battlefield sequel. Jets is a step in the right direction but to only see a 4-man squad on the bottom left of all the multiplayer footage? Not looking good.
Also, Jets dominated in BF2, which is why I suspect they will be greatly nerfed in BF3. A good player could take off and dominate both jets AND other vehicles. I still remember being spawn killed constantly because some prick was owning everyone on our team, singlehandedly. Good times.
