A lot of Battlefield fans wet their pants at the news of the "Back to Karkand" DLC pack for BF3 which includes a selection of maps, vehicles and weapons from Battlefield 2. This newest trailer for the pack focuses entirely on the Strike at Karkand map and... yes, I'm pretty excited.
The pack is free for all of you that pre-ordered the game, and the lucky PS3 owners will be getting it one week earlier; because that's a thing.
Why don't you kids go back to Modern Welfare 3 and let the grownups bask in the glory of a low-res, down-scaled version of a normal resolution video trailer that you can find in HD on YouTube but have to use a random videoplayer that is on-par if not worse than aids--I mean, RealPlayer on Dtoid?

legitimate expansion packs, i get. theres content in there. watching someone pay for a map thats more than 5 years old with a coat of paint on it that the mod community can (and im sure already HAS) do for free, and a map that was finished before the game was finished is kinda like watching someone buy snake oil.
i mean, i get it. if you wanna buy snake oil, and you feel entitled to do so and to tell me to shut the fuck up about it, i guess go ahead and do so. just dont think for a second that they arent selling and that people arent buying what equates to small chunks of the game that were intentionally left out to sell later.

Unless things are different outside of the US, you realize that the Limited Edition did not cost extra at all? That if you bought the game when it launched EVERYONE got the Limited Edition.

You absolutely did NOT have to preorder. Just today a plethora of the "limited" edition remained available for purchase at my local walmart. Mine was purchased locally about a week after release. While they may have stated that it was for preorders only, that has not been the reality of it. They seem to be following in BC2's footsteps, where all new sales get the dlc free. Is this not the case elsewhere? I mean I haven't even seen a copy that wasn't limited.

I lawled at all the kids play mw3 and the big boys / adults play bf3 comments.. Seriously stfu already. This game lacks any online coop dealing with objectives in most cases. I honestly don't give a rats ass about bf3 vs mw3, I didn't get the limited edition because as it turns out where I bought the game must have been the only place to get a limited number of copies.
That being said, I think I may pass on the pack..as it turns out this game isn't what I thought it was going to be and the rest of my squad feels the same and has decided to move on...

Fun fact: As of this writing, every copy of the game available, at least the store I work at, is the Limited Edition. Which comes with the maps for free. It's been that way since the game came out. Judging by the number of copies in stock, I'm sure that's not going to change any time soon.
There is no splintering of the community with this. There is no haves and have nots here. And there damn sure isn't a reason to "stand up for gamer's rights" over this either. EVERYBODY can get this pack for free just by buying the game. Why you would want to complain about that, I don't know.
(Also, it's not preying on nostalgia if the fans actually want it, just saying.)

Me and my squads are enjoying the fuck out of Battlefield 3. It is a great game if you take your head out of your ass to play it.

Definitely 60fps. I thought it looked way too good to be the console version. After playing it on 360, you can DEFINITELY tell the difference now.
