Craving some cheap Battlefield action before Battlefield: Bad Company 2 hits? If you're an Xbox 360 owner, you've got two options: (a) keep playing the BC 2 demo or (b) grab Battlefield 1943, an Xbox LIVE joint, for a special price.
This afternoon Major Nelson revealed that Battlefield 1943 is the Deal of the Week, now available for 800 Microsoft Bones instead of its usual 1200. It's not a bad deal, especially if you really like jacking planes and crashing them into buildings within milliseconds of doing so. Or, even better, enjoy competitive shooters with a heavy focus on team-based play.

Either way, I bought it for 1200 and it was worth every penny!
In fact, I wonder if it would be an effective strategy to just take all your teams planes and land them at the enemy base, letting them play around in the sky while your team actually caps flags. It probably would help, unless you have a team that just stands by the plane spawn waiting for their turn...

If I were an editor, I'd fix that statement.
For some reason, you omitted the last part of the quote: "especially if you really like jacking planes and crashing them into buildings within milliseconds of doing so."
He's making a joke about how difficult it is to fly the planes in Battlefield games. Like, if you actually manage to take off from the strip, you normally crash into the nearest building in the airfield.
So, in other words, chill the fuck out. Not every "plane crashing into a building" joke is about 9/11. In fact, most of them aren't.
Given how unless you preordered BC2 from Gamestop there is no real reason to buy it for the first month, hopefully more people will hop onto the goodness that is this game. :D
