Gamespot recently compared the graphics of seven different games, all of which are available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There are roll-over images for each game, so you will be able to witness the duel in real time.
Not surprisingly, the 360 managed to trump the PS3 graphically in most of the titles. Developers have had plenty of time to become better acquainted with Xbox 360 and it's starting to show. The PS3 on the other hand, is supposed to be a pain in the ass to develop for and has only just been released.
We'll have to wait another year before we can see the true potential of these systems. But in the meantime, head on over to Gamespot for the glorious images.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If(when) the Xbox looks better next year the same thing will be said only adjusted for time.
" Developers have had 2 years with the Xbox 360 and only 1 year with the PS3"
Stupid shit.
All joking aside though, Gamespot does take the time at the end of the comparison to make it clear that they're comparing first generation PS3 software with second gen 360 software, and the real comparison can't be made until next year. Of course Sony fanboys are going to be up in arms about something like this, but that seems odd considering this is pretty much what should be expected. Gamespot's point is still well taken: It might be better to wait until developers can really take advantage of the PS3's power to dish out 600 bucks for it, because right now there's just not that much difference.
I guess that's why I'm getting a Wii (if I can find one!!!).
Seriously, the only people who really care about this s--t are "fanboys" and nitpickers (often one in the same). We get it: target renders were bulls--t, and the 360/PS3 are going to be pushing out very similar looking games.
I'd rather spend time playing the games (on either system) than trying to figure out which one has better grass textures; more free flowing jerseys; and glistening sweat dripping from the bodies of muscular men.
It's hard not to want to compare consoles, especially with Sony's two plus years of chest banging about the power of the PS3. But you've seen one, you've seen 'em all.
