Those plastic guitars and drums in the corner gathering dust because you realized the advancing chords in Rock Band make you sick when you watch them? Are you, unlike Nick Chester, not constantly obsessed with pretending to play songs on plastic instruments and wish you could do some strategy gaming with said plastic instruments instead? Then Battle Beat is for you, my friend.
Released on Xbox Live Indie Games already, Battle Beat is a strategy game that is controlled entirely through plastic guitar/drum action. Players take their squad of soldiers and defend the world against alien invaders by shooting them to the beat and blowing them up. They more rhythm games the better, and the more rhythm games that let you use your plastic instruments the even more better. For those of you without plastic instruments, Battle Beat will work with a standard controller, but that's just boring.

Isn't that the entire premise of Brutal Legend ?
Isn't it sad that the indie games on 360 interest me more than any of the first party games?
