Batman: Arkham City is slated to make fanboys of us all on October 18 ... or at least it was. Unfortunately, not quite all of us can look forward to the game next month, as the PC version is now due to arrive in November.
There's no solid date of release outside a launch month, and no reason has been given for the delay. Still, there are four new screenshots, so that's nice!
PC delays seems to be a bit of a "thing" these days. It's a shame that nobody ever tells us why, though.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Not necessarily, although that is near the top. (It's not like exclusives don't get leaked into the wild too.) The difference between making the game work on the PS3's/Xbox's fixed hardware means that if it works on my machine, it will work on yours. Trying every AMD/nVidia card you can get your hands on is a lot of extra work. Even without having to submit the game to Sony or Microsoft, compatibility on the PC is a huge hurdle.
Anyway, November is Skyrim month so...yeah, maybe as a christmas present then.
I'll have to avoid the internet for however long between the console and pc release now god damn it.
@jimmyx
PCs can use controllers, too, dude. And PC controllers are cheaper than console controllers.
I'm sure the 4 people who are gonna buy it will be annoyed
No DRM besides a disc check? What exactly do you call that piece of shit Games for Windows Live?
...Damn it, who am I kidding...
if the choice is between paying $10 more for the console version or waiting a month for the (likely superior) pc version, many fans are likely to give in and cough up the extra cash.
and yeah, for the record the PC version of AA was better than the console version. i can't be bothered to post "that video", if the haters won't do their research it's no skin off my nose.
that's assuming you buy digital, even boxed copies of PC games are cheaper.
you're right though, i guess its the MS/sony cut that bumps the retail price. i do think that it's advantageous to be putting more sales on their platforms, but perhaps that's not enough incentive to account for the predictable delays PC software suffers.
