Batman: Arkham Asylum follow-up to feature Two-Face? photo

Zipped lips don't reveal secrets, or much at all for that matter (because of the whole "zipped" thing), so we haven't had much to report on the Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel front. But it appears as if the smallest of details did escape during the C2E2 comic book convention in Chicago. At a panel, Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy supposedly let it slip that Two-Face will be in the next game.

He backpedaled on the comment immediately, explaining that the game has a "complicated cast," but we're no fools, sir! Look at us, reporting on this thing that you said by accident. We're so clever.

It was hinted at in the game too if I'm not mistaken.

Wouldnt his eye eventually dry out? And wouldn't he also get some type of infection?

I think we've known this for quite some time. From what I always figured, the sequel game takes place immediately after the events at Arkham.

If you listen, you hear the mention of Harvey Dent wrecking havoc in Gotham City and then Batman hops into his Batjet. Harvey Dent is Two-Face's actual human name before he was Two-Face. So I always presumed that it was a given that Two-Face would be in the next game.

Cool to hear nonetheless.

If you spent even a second, even a glance, at the obvious speculation of the site and trailer this is not news at all.

how the hell does he keeps his left eye in working order? Does he always carry eyedrops which he constantly squeezes a few drops into his eyes every minute or so?

A pretty safe assumption once the sequel was announced, but I like hearing about the game so no complaints.

Look, the Batman mythos provides a pretty rich atmosphere. It would be a massive fucking shock if Gotham City were devoid of the presence of his villains. Though they may be referenced through posters and nightclubs or whatever, while it makes for tasty speculation, it is not a strong indication of the game's cast. But if Kevin Conroy says something that sounds conclusive, you better believe you have two reasons to write a news article.

@Byronic Man

Absolutely (on all points), but considering it was already kind of surprising that one of Batman's most mythologically important and generally popular enemies wasn't in the first game; I think most people assumed that if there was a sequel, he'd be appearing.

As long as he's voiced by the guy who did Two Face on the animate series then it's all Good

I just hope that they do keep a lot of the stuff from the original, it was totally worth buying. I would've liked to see a much larger cast of enemies besides idiot henchmen, lunatics, and titans. It was disappointing how many riddler challenges gave info on other villains but none of them were there. Boss fights will need a whole new makeover though.

Also, Maurice LaMarche will be playing Mr. Freeze, and Stana Katic from "Castle" will be playing Talia al-Ghul, if this is to be believed.

"Wouldnt his eye eventually dry out? And wouldn't he also get some type of infection?"

Also, wouldn't a man who dresses like a bat and actually considers something called "batarang" an efficient crime-fighting weapon end up in an alley with his utility belt (and possibly Robin) up his ass?

Further rumors indicate he'll be a playable character too.

i only played through the original recently, and at the end i almost expected more based on batman jetting off to stop harvey dent (twoface) robbing that bank.

When the credits rolled it was pretty clear that would be in the sequel.

I just read that Stana Katic, actress on ABC's "Castle", will voice Talia al Ghul and Maurice LaMarche, best known as the voice of the Brain of "Pinky and the Brain", will voice Mister Freeze. Yeah, It would have been great to get the voice cast of Batman TAS, but I'm very excited to see new interpretations! Here betting Clancy Brown will be casted as Two Face.

I still think the Bane game could be groundbreaking. Not just because I'm a fan of that character, but because I think it would be interesting to portray Batman entirely as an NPC.

Then you could portray the Dark Knight as the people of Gotham see him, as a dark and possibly malevolent urban legend. He could be a manifestation of Bane's inner struggles, one that he finally triumphs against. Wouldn't that be an great way to blur the line between "hero" and "protagonist"?
