Not even a little. I thought the Narrator was maybe the most charming design choice in the game, among many. Loved it.
I was disappointed, though, that it wasn't more open-world like Zelda. It was too linear and short for me. Felt like a missed opportunity somehow, to introduce all these neat weapons and play mechanics and not have a longer and bigger game within which to enjoy them for a while.
Also, very little replay value imo.
Personally I just didn't like the mechanic of menial dynamic narration within actual levels - I think it could have been a bit more interesting and maybe expanded a bit more in regards to the actual universe - like the arena bits.
Luckily though, Bastion had one of the most compelling narratives I'd seen in any game released in 2011 thanks to its glorious narrator and I implore you to check this game out if you haven't already.
Yeah, Marvel is pretty much in a state of event overdosed decline. The only books I still read in trades are Uncanny X-Force and the occasional Deadpool, and even Deadpool is suffering from poor writing lately IMO.
Is the game really that short? I know its only an arcade thing, and that its a great game, but I was hoping due to the genre it'd be a little longer. Eh, still an awesome deal I'll get in on!
