If you need another, physical reminder that the Mother series gets no love outside of Japan, this story is for you. Banpresto has announced a new line of statues featuring characters from Mother and EarthBound.
The first set is a trio of 12cm statues, pictured above, featuring Ninty, Ana and Teddy and will release in August. A second set with Ninty, Lloyd and Pippi will be hitting around the same time. EarthBound models in this size will follow monthly in December through February, while a series of smaller figures for the sequel start trickling out in September.
Perhaps most important, a Mr. Saturn plush doll is planned for release in October. I want to squeeze that strange little bastard with all my life and never let go. Hopefully buying him won't cost both of my arms because that would be counterproductive to my goals.
